Terms & Conditions

By making a booking, you accept the following Terms & Conditions:

 

Pitch rules:

  1. Quiet between 11pm and 7am

  2. Campfires in designated fire pits only. Do not leave your campfire unattended, and think carefully before lighting a fire if it is windy. Bakesdown Farm Camping accepts no liability for injury or damage caused by your campfire. By lighting it, you accept full responsibility for it.

  3. BBQs must be raised off the ground

  4. Rubbish & recycling must be disposed of responsibly in the bins provided

  5. 5mph speed limit throughout the site

  6. Vehicles to be parked in designated areas; one vehicle is included in your booking (extra vehicles can be accommodated with prior notice)

  7. Campervans are permitted at Brimstone and Gatekeeper, but only on designated pitch areas.

  8. Dogs are permitted at Brimstone and Gatekeeper. Dog poo must be bagged and binned. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. All dog breeds listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 are prohibited.

 

Payment rules:

  1. A 20% non-refundable deposit (plus the Greener Camping membership fee, if applicable) secures your booking; it will be automatically cancelled after 24 hours if the deposit is not paid.

  2. The remaining balance is due 28 days before arrival; no balance, no booking.

  3. No refunds for early departure or non-arrival.

  4. Cancellations made less than 28 days before the arrival date will incur a charge:

  5. For bookings made less than 28 days before arrival, the full amount will be requested to secure the booking.

  6. Bakesdown Farm camping reserves the right to cancel a booking at short notice if we are unable to provide safe accommodation or camping environment, due to extreme weather conditions, ill health, fire, flooding or any other extenuating circumstances beyond our control. Under such circumstances, your full payment will be refunded.

  7. In the unlikely event your booking is cancelled by Bakesdown Farm Camping, payment will be refunded in full.

 

Arrivals/Departure rules:

  1. Arrivals after 2pm only

  2. Depart by 10am

  3. Book online to ensure a guaranteed pitch

  4. Walk-ins welcome, but call to check availability before you pitch

 

General rules:

  1. Bakesdown Farm Camping cannot accept liability for any damage, expense, injury, death or loss of any nature suffered by any person(s) or vehicle, or personal belongings from any cause, other than in the case of proven negligence or breach of statutory duty.

  2. Any damage to site property will be billed to the booking holder.

  3. All bookings must be made by an adult over the age of 18 who is a part of the holiday group.

  4. No electric hook-up or WIFI is provided.

  5. In common with all of wild Cornwall, this campsite can be subjected to extreme weather conditions. Very strong winds and torrential rain can occur at any time of year. We are fortunate not to flood, and we have thick hedges and mature trees that provide some shelter. You are responsible for monitoring the weather forecast and for ensuring that your tent is robust and correctly erected.
