BAKESDOWN FARM CAMPING
Gatekeeper - all the useful details
max 8. - parking beside pitch - 40 metre walk to yard - private facilities - yes vans - no dogs

Gatekeeper sits in a two-acre field with beautiful views. This field, and all the facilities within it, are for your private use.

A large mown area with a fire pit site. This space is all yours; nobody else will be coming to share your exclusive pitch! The extra space allows the grass to recover, so please avoid pitching on tired grass patches.

The private facilities are in two wooden huts just beside the pitch - a compost toilet, and a lovely hot gas-powered shower. Alongside is the tap with drinking water and the sink. There is no hot water tap, just ice-cold drinking water, fresh from our borehole.

Car/campervan parking: this field has a stone parking area at the entrance, so your car is only a couple of metres from the pitch, but never needs to leave the hardstanding. There is also an area of reinforced grass for campervans to park on the field safely, whatever the weather.
Recycling/rubbish
This is just beside your parking area, so very easy to access. Please recycle all you can.

Fridge, freezer, and charging lockers are available in the farmyard. These are a free, shared resource for all the guests staying on the farm. You leave items to charge at your own risk.
Fire boxes, containing logs, kindling and natural firelighters, are for sale at £10 each.
Large charcoal bags, sustainably produced and locally sourced, are for sale at £10 each.
These can be added to your booking or purchased on site using the honesty box for cash payment.

Body boards, beach toys & barbeque grills are available to borrow.
